Out-of-Service Debt Account Status Tool
The Debt Account Status Tool is available for current military and civilian employees who have an Out-of-Service Debt and access to a CAC enabled computer.
There are three options to check your Out-of-Service Debt Account Status, including balance and payment information:
Submit a Question Online via AskDFAS
Submit your AskDFAS ticket:
After submitting via AskDFAS, a ticket number will be emailed to you for reference and updates. Please keep this ticket number for your reference.
Call the Customer Care Center
Call the DFAS Customer Care Center toll free at 1-866-912-6488. Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. EST.
Check Your Out-of-Service Debt Account Status Using a CAC Enabled Computer
This tool is ONLY available for individuals who have an Out-of-Service Debt and access to a CAC enabled computer securely connected to the DoD VPN. You can check the status of your debt by using the Out-of-Service Debt Account Status Tool.
Payments can take up to one business day to appear on your account.
