Telephone Self-Service

Telephone Self-Service is an automated option that makes it easy for military retirees to have their 1099-R mailed to the mailing address DFAS has on record.

This option can be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There is no need to speak with a representative, wait on hold, or even use a computer.

Use the following instructions to get your 1099-R through Telephone Self-Service:

  1. Call 800-321-1080.
  2. Select option 1 for Self-Serve.
  1. Select option “1”
  2. Enter your Social Security Number when prompted.
  3. Your 1099R should be in the mail within 7-10 business days to the address we have on record.
