Supporting our Wounded Warriors
From the moment you leave the combat zone, our Wounded Warrior Pay Management teams are at work to make sure your pay and other entitlements don't become things that you or your family have to worry about. With your service's finance offices, we will be with you through medical treatment and rehabilitation until you've returned to active duty or left military service.
While our pay experts monitor every aspect of your pay, it's also important that you and your family understand some of the unique pay-related topics we are working on.

SCAADL: DoD's Warrior Care Blog has information about the Special Compensation for Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (SCAADL) calculator. According to the website, "SCAADL is a special monthly compensation for eligible catastrophically injured or ill Service members who require assistance with activities of daily living or who are at a high risk for personal safety and cannot live independently in the community without caregiver support. SCAADL, authorized by the Fiscal Year 2010 National Defense Authorization Act (Public Law 111-84), provides financial assistance for the non-medical care, support and assistance by a primary caregiver for the Service member."
