Allotment Exceptions


The Department of Defense has an agreement with several agencies that prevents DFAS from starting, stopping or changing any allotments paid to them. Some of these agencies are:

  • Long-Term Care Plan
  • Delta Dental
  • Federal Employee Health Benefit Plan
  • Office Of Servicemen's and Veteran's Group Life Insurance
  • National Service Life Insurance
  • Army Air Force Mutual Aid Association
  • All Tricare Prime Allotments
  • TriWest Healthcare Alliance
  • Humana Military Healthcare Services, Inc.
  • Health Net Federal Services
  • U.S. Family Healthcare Plans, including:
    • Brighton Marine
    • St. Vincent
    • Pacific Medical
    • John Hopkins
    • Christus Health
    • Martins Point
  • Charity Agencies, including:
    • Army Emergency Relief
    • Annual Navy Marine Corps Relief Society
    • Air Force Aid Society
  • Loan Agencies, including:
    • Army Emergency Relief
    • Navy Marine Corps Relief Society

 
To start, stop or change your allotments for the above agencies, you must contact them yourself. DFAS will then receive instructions from the applicable agency.
