DFAS.MIL

When you have a question about a retired pay account or annuity pay, or just want to learn a little bit more about your pay, you can visit the Retired Military and Annuitants section on DFAS.mil. We consistently update our site with new content and breaking news so you can stay informed.

Forms Page: You can find printable copies of all of the forms you need, electronic versions of some of those forms, and you have an option to submit forms securely online rather than by mail.
 
Change of Address: This link provides step-by-step instructions to help you update your mailing address on file at Retired Pay. Keeping your correspondence mailing address current ensures that you will continue to get important information we mail throughout the year.
 
Direct Deposit: This is a how to for updating your bank account information. Direct deposit is the most efficient, timely and secure way to receive your pay. It eliminates the possibility of a lost or stolen check, reduces the opportunity for identity theft, and you receive your payment in a timely and efficient manner.
 
Getting a 1099R: Visit this page for instructions on how to request a 1099R if you misplace it or need an additional copy for your tax preparer.
 
Federal Income Tax Withholding (FITW) Adjustments: If you ever need to change your FITW amount, you can visit this page to find out how.
 
Updating Your Arrears of Pay Beneficiary: If you don’t have an Arrears of Pay beneficiary on file, or you need to update that information, this page is for you. Your AOP Beneficiary is the person who will receive your final pro-rated paycheck in the event of your passing. Retired Pay also works with your AOP beneficiary to close your account.
