    Getting Your 1099-R

Military retirees and annuitants receive a 1099-R tax statement either electronically via myPay or as a paper copy in the mail each year.

You can receive your 1099-R up to 2 weeks sooner in myPay. To opt out of the paper 1099-R log in to your myPay account and select the “Turn on/off Hard Copy of 1099-R” option on the Main Menu.

Make sure you have a current email address in myPay so we can notify you when your statement is available.  You must have an email address in myPay by Dec. 1 to receive the email notification.

If you have not logged into myPay to change your delivery method, your 1099-R will be mailed to you no later than Jan. 31 each year.

You will receive one 1099-R reflecting both taxable retired pay and taxable Concurrent Retirement and Disability Pay you received during the year.
