Your Performance Plan

Performance management is designed to link individual and strategic goals, and involve managers, supervisors and employees in the performance appraisal process. To begin this process you will be meeting with your supervisor within your first thirty days to discuss your performance plan (DFAS Form 430-1). Your plan will include job elements, benchmarks and performance expectations to enhance your understanding of your work requirements. The plan establishes the basic expectations for fully successful performance on the job; the benchmarks describe the types and levels of effort required in order to exceed performance expectations. Take advantage of this opportunity to ask questions and/or address concerns to create a strong foundation for your successful performance.
