Pay Entry Base Date (PEBD)
is the date that denotes how much of your service is creditable towards longevity for pay purposes. It can be found in field 4 of your last active duty Leave and Earnings Statement (LES). Your PEBD can be affected by broken service, lost time, transfer to/from reserve components, etc. (If you separated less than one year ago, your LES is available in
myPay
.

Active Duty Service Date (ADSD)
is the date you entered active duty. It can be found on the DD Form 214, block 12a.

Separation Grade
is the pay grade (i.e., E4, O3, etc.) at the time of your discharge from active duty. It can be found on the DD Form 214, block 4a or in field 3 of your last active duty LES. (If you separated less than one year ago, your LES is available in
myPay
.

Last Promotion Date
is the effective date of your separation pay grade and is commonly found on the DD Form 214, block 12i.

Separation date
is your date of discharge from active duty. This information can be found on the DD Form 214, block 12b, discharge orders or field 9 of your separation LES.

Civilian Retirement Plan
(FERS – Federal Employee Retirement System; or CSRS – Civil Service Retirement System) information may be found on your LES or pay statement. If in doubt, call your Human Resources Office.
