ATTENTION: AIR FORCE AND SPACE FORCE CUSTOMER NEW CUSTOMER CONTACT NUMBER - Actively serving members of the Air Force, Space Force, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve should now contact the Total Force Service Center (TFSC) for 24/7 support for Military Pay via phone at 1-800-525-0102 or submit a MyPers ticket. Services include inquiries related to military pay benefits, entitlements, and Secondary Dependency claims. Additionally, all actively serving, and separated or retired members can call the TFSC to request a W-2 reissue from 2019 to present.

SPECIAL INFORMATION FOR ACTIVE DUTY/LINE OF DUTY SURVIVING SPOUSES WHO ELECTED THE OPTIONAL ANNUITY FOR DEPENDENT CHILDREN - Check Out Our New Quick Reference Guide! The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 directed that as of January 1, 2023, the Optional Annuity for Dependent Children is eliminated and the SBP annuity payment must revert to the surviving spouse (if the spouse submits documentation and is eligible). If you are a surviving spouse who requested the Optional Child Annuity, we need your completed eligibility documents as soon as possible if you haven't provided them! SBP-DIC OFFSET ELIMINATION - Phase Three Begins with the February 1, 2023 Payment - Check Out Our New Quick Reference Guide! Beginning on February 1, 2023, surviving spouses receive their full Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) payment from DFAS and their full Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) payment from the VA. This is because February 1, 2023 is the first SBP annuity payday after the SBP-DIC Offset is fully eliminated. The Special Survivors Indemnity Allowance (SSIA) will no longer be paid. See our full range of FAQs on the SBP-DIC News webpage. *Note: the change in the law does NOT affect the amount of DIC you receive from the VA. You should continue to receive your normal DIC amount from the VA.

REPORT THE DEATH OF A RETIREE ONLINE Use our convenient online form to report the death of a retiree at https://go.usa.gov/xnzQ9. Spouses and children of recently-deceased retirees: We have new, helpful tools and information to assist you with the SF 1174 for claiming the retiree’s Arrears of Pay. We can now deposit an Arrears of Pay (AOP) payment directly to an eligible claimant’s bank account instead of mailing a check.
