Your First Work Assignment

At DFAS, we aim for our employees to engage in work as soon as possible. Your first work assignment may take the form of completing core training or actual task assignments. Though you may not process vouchers or negotiate service level agreements by the end of your first week, we can get you exposed to the work in a way that offers you learning through direct experience. Engage yourself in the work of your area, volunteering to attend meetings or take notes for your colleagues.

 

Don’t wait for an invitation

Take advantage of each assignment you're given. If you're paying close attention, vast amounts of learning and growth can take place in even the simplest of tasks.
