NOTE:
 
  1. Navy Reserve personnel advanced to Chief Petty Officer on or after October 1, 2009 are entitled to the full special initial clothing allowance.  Chief Petty Officers in the Navy Reserve who were advanced before October 1, 2009, were only paid a partial special initial clothing allowance and are entitled to a partial initial clothing allowance when called to active duty for 6 months or more.
