Internship Program
Interested in exploring a federal career while completing your education? Consider applying for a paid Internship at DFAS.
Our Internship Program is part of the OPM Pathways Program. This Program provides current students, enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions from high school to graduate level, with paid opportunities to gain professional experience and explore Federal careers while still in school. Through this program you gain experience in a career field such as accounting, auditing, finance, information technology, or human resources. Upon graduation, you may have the opportunity to receive a permanent job offer.
Our interns work a full-time schedule for at least eight weeks between May and September. There may be opportunities to work during the school year.
“My internship with DFAS has provided me with unimaginable opportunities. Not only did I gain work experience in accounting/finance, but I was able to build professional relationships and friendships in the process. I am truly grateful to be a part of a program that works to support our nation’s warfighter.”
Leah, Youngstown State University
