TASK 1.1.3 - EMERGENCY SYSTEM CHANGE APPROVAL

Purpose
Once a problem has been classified as an emergency, the AIS Project Manager (PM), the Functional Proponent (FP) or their designees must approve the remedial systems modification.

Process
The classification of a problem by the FP or PM as an emergency ordinarily implies their approval for remedial systems modification. In cases where a software engineer or technical proponent discovers and determines an emergency situation, approval must be obtained from the PM or FP prior to corrective action. This approval authority may be agreed upon and delegated beforehand. Approval of this change requires that an official Systems Change Request be eventually generated and documented. Record all actual hours expended on all activities for this emergency SCR against the MIPR allocated for this purpose.

            AUTHORIZED LIST OF APPROVING OFFICIALS /DESIGNEES
   CREATES EMERGENCY SCR
