SMS Documentation Standards

Documentation Standards define the objects produced or used by tasks within the life cycle. The Documentation Standards define the minimum essential data to be included in the product generated by executing the tasks. The documentation standards do not dictate form but can be used as a template. Each Documentation Standard includes a Documentation Standard Identification. The numbering for Documentation Standards begins with “S” followed by an abbreviated category name and a three digit number. (Example: S-PM-002 is the second Documentation Standard described within the Project Management category). The category abbreviations used are as follows:
      PM - Program or Project Management
      SE - Software Engineering
      CM - Configuration Management
