DFAS publishes 2015 tax statement delivery schedule

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 1, 2015) –2015 tax statements for military, retiree, annuitant and federal civilian employee customers serviced by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service will be distributed mid-December through January 2016.

The IRS tax forms will be available via myPay, the Department of Defense online pay account management system for most of the 6.3 million DFAS customers. The electronic online forms are available one to two weeks earlier than those sent to customers electing hardcopy delivery by mail.

Beginning in January, DFAS will begin delivering annual IRS forms reporting healthcare coverage for its military, retiree, annuitant and federal civilian employee customers. These forms (1095-B and 1095-C) report healthcare coverages through TriCare and the Federal Employee Health Benefit plans meeting minimum essential coverage requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The DFAS website offers more information on the ACA and IRS 1095 forms. Applicable forms will be available through customer myPay accounts for those who have opted for electronic delivery.
