Civilian Relocation W-2 Forms

W-2 forms for civilian relocation payments you received in 2012 will be available on myPay no later than Jan 31. Look for the "Travel / Miscellaneous tax statement (W-2)" under the Taxes heading. Also, printed W-2s will be mailed at this time.

Instructions and forms for filing your Relocation Income Tax Allowance (RITA) will be included with the mailed W-2. DFAS processes RITA claims in the order they were received after the 2012 marginal tax rates are published. You may be entitled to file a RITA claim if you received taxable relocation entitlements (other than a RITA) during 2012. Read more on our RITA webpage.

If you have a question about the amount on your W-2, call our Customer Care Center
at 1-800-756-4571 (option 3).

If you don’t receive your W-2 by Feb 10, e-mail or fax with a subject line of "Travel W-2 Request" that includes the following:

1) printed full name
2) SSN
3) travel type
4) tax statement type and tax year
5) delivery preference (mailed or e-mailed)
6) current mailing address
7) year you are missing W-2 from
8) current grade for security verification
9) customer statement authorizing the reissue of tax statement by the method requested.

Civilian Long Term TDY W-2 Forms

W-2 forms for civilians who received payment for Syracuse Military Comptrollership Long-Term TDY during 2012 will be available on myPay no later than Jan 31. Look for the "Travel / Miscellaneous tax statement (W-2)" under the Taxes heading. Also, printed W-2s will be mailed at this time.

If you have a question about the amount on your W-2, call our Customer Care Center
at 1-800-756-4571 (option 3).

If you don’t receive your W-2 by Feb 10, e-mail dro-travelw2inquiry@dfas.mil with a subject line of "Travel W-2 Request" that includes the following:

1) printed full name
2) SSN
3) travel type
4) tax statement type and tax year
5) delivery preference (mailed or e-mailed)
6) current mailing address
7) year you are missing W-2 from
8) current grade for security verification
9) customer statement authorizing the reissue of tax statement by the method requested.

Military members who received payment for a Personally Procured Move (DITY) during 2012 may receive a W-2 if the reimbursement contained any taxable incentive. Those who received interest payments for late TDY claims will receive a 1099-INT.

W-2 forms for taxable military travel entitlements you received in 2012 will be available on myPay no later than Jan 31. Look for the "Travel / Miscellaneous tax statement (W-2)" under the Taxes heading. Also, printed W-2s will be mailed at this time.
