Reserve Educational
Assistance Program
(REAP):
REAP was
authorized by the Fiscal Year (FY) 2005 National Defense
Authorization Act (NDAA), but the program was expanded by the FY
2008 NDAA especially for activated members of the reserve
components of the Army, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard..
This "buy-up" provision is on a voluntary basis and it is up to the
individual reservist whether they contribute their entire $600 or

Local move authorized when your

On
August 8, 2008 the Per Diem, Travel &
Transportation Allowance Committee chairman authorized a local move of household goods when an armed forces member and/or
the member's dependent(s) are forced to move because the dwelling that the member is renting
