Recently, two private industry
firms disclosed that overseas hackers broke into customer accounts.
According to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at one of these
firms, these attacks were carried out by "keylogging" software
installed on personal computers. A keylogger is a type of
surveillance software (considered to be either software or spyware)
that has the capability to record data processed on the computer.

Changes and
Extensions for Bonuses and Special Pays Authorized in the National
Defense Authorization Act of 2007
President Bush signed the
National Defense Authorization Act of 2007 (NDAA 07) on October 17,
2006, into law. The law extends authority to the services that
allow them to pay existing bonuses for another year as well as

FY07 Military Basic Allowance for Housing
Changes
The National Defense Authorization Act of Fiscal Year 2007
(NDAA FY07) Section 604, signed by the President on October 17,
2006, provides the military services authority to pay a second
Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) entitlement for certain reserve
members who are in support of contingency operations. Continue

Military Basic Pay Changes and SGLI for
OEF/OIF
The National Defense
Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007 (NDAA FY07) increases the
basic pay monthly rates for members of the uniformed services by
2.2 percent effective January 1, 2007. Learn

Indianapolis Military Pay Contact
Center
The Army and Air Force
Contact Center transition from DFAS-Cleveland to DFAS-Indianapolis
is now complete. As of October 2, 2006, the Indianapolis Contact
Center will handle all Army and Air Force military pay related
calls except Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and Savings Deposit Program
