Have you heard about DIMHRS, the Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System? Scheduled for implementation Army-wide March 1, 2009, DIMHRS will be the military member's "one-stop shop" for personnel and military pay. Every member will be a user in DIMHRS. Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR)

The Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR) is on a mission. That mission is to "provide and facilitate assistance to wounded/ill/injured Marines, Sailors attached to or in support of in support of Marine units, and their family members, throughout the phases of recovery in order to assist in rehabilitation and transition." New Pay and Allowance Continuation (PAC) Program Replaces Combat-related Injury Rehabilitation Pay (CIP)

The new Pay and Allowance Continuation (PAC) Program, authorized by the 2008 National Defense Authorization Act, offers many improvements over the Combat-related Injury Rehabilitation Pay (CIP) that it replaces. For more information, click here.

Automatic refunds of Savings Deposit Program (SDP) accounts

In accordance with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) memorandum dated April 16, 2008, entitled Automatic Refunds of Savings Deposit Program (SDP) Accounts, the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) is authorized to transfer the balance of any dormant SDP account to the members' financial institution on record 120 days after the qualifying duty assignment terminates. 1. Effective September 1, 2007, the monthly stipend for the F. Edward Hebert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship/Financial Assistance Program (AFHPSP/FAP) participants increased from $1,349 per month to $1,605. The annual grant for FAP participants remained at $28,454. What will be the amounts paid for the FY08-09 school year effective July 1, 2008? For the answer, click here.
