HOW TO SET UP A PAYMENT PLAN

Your debt letter will include information on repayment options. You may complete and submit the Voluntary Repayment Agreement (VRA) that came with your debt letter, even though further collection will be delayed. If you submit a VRA, it needs to include your military service or defense agency’s approval.

Once you return your completed VRA to DFAS, payroll deductions for the amount you specified on the VRA will begin as indicated on the agreement. Updated May 23, 2013
