DFAS Retired Pay Newsletter

Data security and myPay

The Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) serves more than 6 million military members, civilian employees, and military retirees and annuitants.  Key factors in DFAS’ success are the faith and trust customers place in the agency’s ability to process pay accurately and timely while keeping their information secure.

DFAS is committed to protecting the information and privacy of its customers by using the latest and best encryption technology for online transactions, and myPay is no exception.

myPay meets or exceeds industry security requirements worldwide to protect user privacy. In fact, identity theft protection is greater for myPay users than those who rely on regular mail delivery for financial transactions, which explains why 3.5 million DFAS customers currently use myPay.

Current users should encourage fellow retirees to sign up for myPay so they can experience the convenience in obtaining payroll information, performing routine account updates, as well as subscribe to the Retired Pay Newsletter to receive timely and updated information.
