Annual pay statements and tax forms available to myPay users

Retirees and annuitants may obtain copies of their IRS Form 1099-R by signing onto the myPay system and accessing their account.  To access a retiree or annuitant pay account, or to learn more about myPay, eligible users are encouraged to visit the Web site at https://mypay.dfas.mil.

Year-end pay and tax statements are available on myPay as follows:

     Retiree Account Statements posted on December 8, 2005

     Annuitant Account Statements posted on December 16, 2005

     Retired/Former Spouse IRS Form 1099-R’s posted on December 16, 2005

     Annuitant IRS Form 1099-R’s posted on December 16, 2005

•  myPay maintains historical data for the current tax year (for retirees) and current tax year plus two prior years (for annuitants).
• If you are a retiree who receives a Form 1042-S instead of a Form 1099-R, you must call the Cleveland Contact Center at 1-800-321-1080 for assistance.
• Members wishing to establish a myPay account can find information on the Internet by clicking on the How do I get a myPay pin link on the myPay website.

The 2005 Year-at-a-Glance Newsletters were mailed with the year-end Retiree and Annuitant Account Statements.  Please review your copy for information that may be pertinent to your account.  The Retiree Account Statement (RAS) was mailed between December 17-31, 2005 and the Annuitant Account Statement (AAS) was mailed between December 27-31, 2005.  The 2005 Year-at-a-Glance Newsletters should be available soon on the DFAS Retired and Annuitant Pay Web site at http://www.dfas.mil/money/retired/.

The hard copy 1099R's for both Retirees and Annuitants were mailed between December 17-31, 2005.
