Retiree Account Statement (RAS)

Recently DFAS has received concerns from retired members pertaining to the receipt of more than one RAS.  A member may receive multiple RAS notices at the end of a year.  Most are familiar with the Annual RAS (Cost of Living Allowance [COLA] increase). Mailing of the Annual RAS began the week of December 16, 2005.  It is typically mailed in mid- to late-December reflecting the COLA increases. 

Some retirees, who are also entitled to Concurrent Retirement and Disability Payments (CRDP), received an additional RAS in January 2006.  The CRDP RAS was mailed January 9, 2006 through January 18, 2006 and is related to the CRDP annual increase which became effective February 1, 2006.
