DFAS has developed a comprehensive Career Development system to help ensure that all of our employees are well-trained, equipped, and adaptable to change. This system provides for the training and development of DFAS employees from entry to executive levels and is designed to provide employees with a standard “roadmap” for enhancing their personal and professional growth. You can enter Federal service with a career ladder promotion plan outlined in your employment offer. You will become a DFAS associate in our Leaders in Motion professional development program. The program offers rotational assignments, training classes, mentoring, challenging projects, travel opportunities, leadership development conferences, visibility with senior leaders, opportunities to work with our customers and to develop your leadership skills. As you progress through your Federal career, many opportunities exist for advancement in either technical or managerial areas.
