Networking Opportunities at DFAS

Networking at DFAS 

While pursuing your career with DFAS, you will have many opportunities to network with people throughout the organization. Networking is a key component in determining where you want to go with your career. 

Your first week of training is filled with teambuilding activities and other opportunities to connect with fellow LIMs while learning about the organization's vision, mission, strategic objectives, and your job roles and responsibilities at DFAS.

LIM Networking Opportunities:

  • LIM Annual Leadership Development Conference- Network with LIMs from other sites.
  • Monthly LIM Meetings- present DFAS Business related topics to peers.
  • Mentoring Program- paired with an experienced DFAS employee who can provide guidance and advice throughout your career.
  • Peer Advising- pair with an experienced LIM for advice and general guidance.
  • Professional Organizations- meet and work with new people, become and officer, or join a committee.
  • Special Projects- volunteer opportunities to help work on a highly visible project, work with fellow LIMs, and meet and brief senior DFAS leadership.
  • LIM Social Events- mingle with LIMs outside of work.
